Michael Vernooy

Michael Vernooy is an experienced Network Engineer currently leading a network overhaul at Computer Packages Inc., where responsibilities include upgrading to Cisco C9200s and C9300s switches and implementing OSPF routing alongside a Cisco AnyConnect VPN solution. Previously, as a Junior Network Engineer at Crestron Electronics, Michael focused on network infrastructure, configuration of Cisco access points, DHCP scopes, and troubleshooting VPN connections. Earlier roles include Information Technology Specialist at President Container Group, Desktop Support Technician at The Computer Guy, and Retail Sales Specialist at Spectrum. Michael served in the US Navy as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate, where duties included aircraft handling and damage control. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Network Operations and Security and is pursuing a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
