Heshan Karunaratne

Heshan Karunaratne currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at SPIL Software since August 2023, bringing extensive experience from various leadership roles. Heshan has been active with the Computer Society of Sri Lanka since January 2020, holding positions as Secretary, Treasurer, and Assistant Secretary. Previously, Heshan was the Director of Business Development at CodeGen International from October 2020 to August 2023 and the Treasurer/Founding Member of Junior Achievement Sri Lanka from March 2019 to December 2020. Heshan also contributed as a Director for the ICT Industry Skills Council and as President of Re:StartSL. Other notable positions include General Manager/Senior Consultant at The Projects Corporation (Pvt) Limited and Chief Executive Officer at Observer Jobs. Heshan holds a Master of Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management Sri Lanka and an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, alongside completing the International Visitor Leadership Program focused on education in the digital age.
