Jeff Forbes is a seasoned professional in computer science education and research, currently serving as the Director of Broadening Participation in Computing Initiatives at the Computing Research Association since August 2025. Prior experience includes a role as Program Director at the National Science Foundation from August 2019 to June 2025, where Forbes managed programs aimed at broadening participation in computing. Additional notable positions include Director of Research and Policy at Georgia Institute of Technology's Constellations Center for Equity in Computing and Associate Professor of the Practice of Computer Science at Duke University from January 2001 to June 2020. Forbes holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
