Shannon Bishop

Shannon Bishop has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Kindergarten Teacher at Yorktown Central School District since August 2022. Prior to this, Shannon worked as a Permanent Daily Substitute focused on K-2 Literacy Support at Comsewogue School District from September 2014 to the present, and held teaching positions in the NYC Department of Education as a Kindergarten and 3rd Grade Teacher from August 2017 to August 2022. Additional experience includes a role as a 1st Grade Teacher at Hebrew Language Academy Charter School from August 2016 to June 2017, and as a Teaching Assistant for the Summer Enrichment Program at Eastern Suffolk BOCES from June 2014 to August 2015. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities from Hunter College and a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education from the State University of New York at Oswego.
