Jubal Thompson joined Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHCI) (“Comstock” or “Company”) in 1998 as General Counsel and has served as Corporate Secretary since 2004 and Executive Vice President since 2009 and previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance. As General Counsel, Mr. Thompson relies on his more than 25 years of legal and real estate development industry-relevant private-company and public-company experience to manage the legal affairs of Comstock.

Mr. Thompson has significant expertise in the following areas of practice; real estate acquisitions and dispositions, real estate and corporate finance, corporate mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, commercial construction insurance and risk management, and complex business and construction-related litigation. As Executive Vice President, Mr. Thompson oversees corporate and project finance activities.

As a member of Comstock’s Executive Management Committee, Mr. Thompson has played a key role in the development and execution of Comstock’s strategic plan, including the 2004 initial public offering and the recent transformation of Comstock’s operations and its management team in support of the 2018 transformation of Comstock’s operations from for-sale homebuilding to commercial real estate development, asset management, and real estate related service provider.

Mr. Thompson is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of Comstock’s corporate governance procedures and counsels the Company’s Board of Directors on an advisory basis. Mr. Thompson is also responsible for commer¬cial loan negotiations, real estate acquisitions and disposition transaction management, oversight of strategic partnerships, and directing the company’s litigation strategies. Mr. Thompson also oversees Comstock’s real title insurance subsidiary, Superior Title Services, LC.

Prior to joining Comstock, Mr. Thompson was in private practice where he concentrated on financial services litigation.

Mr. Thompson received his B.A. from the University of Mary Washington in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Richmond in 1995.
