Borut Spanovic

Borut Spanovic has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Borut'smost recent role is as an MS DBA engineer at Comtrade Gaming since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Microsoft SQL DBA & Developer, where they designed databases from scratch and worked closely with MS SQL Server.

From 2019 to 2020, Borut worked at ACER (Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) as a Business Support and Operations Consultant, where they monitored and supported ARIS applications and users, investigated and analyzed issues, and tested new functionalities.

Before that, Borut worked as a Web-applications & Database Developer at Pogled naprej d.o.o. from 2013 to 2019. Borut developed custom web-applications and databases for clients worldwide, including analyzing requirements, creating UML diagrams, and providing support and training to end-users.

From 2009 to 2013, they served as a Manager and Trainer at MIKRO TRENINGI d.o.o., where they were a Microsoft Certified Trainer on Windows, Windows Server, and SQL Server. Prior to that, they held a similar role at ORG.TEND d.o.o. from 2007 to 2009.

Borut's early career includes roles as a Project Manager and Developer for ERP systems at EDICO d.o.o. from 2006 to 2007, and at Spanovic d.o.o. from 2000 to 2005. In these positions, they managed the development of ERP systems using MS Visual Basic, MS SQL, and Microsoft Office tools.

Borut Spanovic obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from the Higher Vocational College in Velenje, Slovenia, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their degree, they have also earned several certifications. Borut obtained the MCPS (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification from Microsoft in April 2012, followed by the MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) in Windows Server 2008 in April 2012. In October 2009, they obtained the MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) certification in Database Developer 2008 and the MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) certifications in Windows Small Business Server 2008, Configuration, and SQL Server 2008, Database Development. In July 2008, they earned the MCITP certification as an Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008, followed by the MCITP certification as a Server Administrator on Windows Server 2008 in May 2008. Additionally, they obtained the MCTS certifications in Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration, and Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuration, in April 2008. More recently, Borut Spanovic has obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including Learning PowerShell in October 2020, Designing Database Solutions for SQL Server 2016 in July 2020, Managing Your Career as an Introvert in March 2020, Developing Your Emotional Intelligence in September 2019, Bad Boss: Dealing with a Difficult Manager in August 2019, and Negotiation Skills in August 2019.
