Anna Scavuzzo

Deputy Mayor, Councilor for Security at Comune di Milano

Anna Scavuzzo, born in Milan in 1976, has a degree in Physics.

In the 2011-2016 administrative mandate she was City Councilor and President of the Institutional Affairs Commission. In 2015 she was also elected Councilor of the Metropolitan City and the Mayor Pisapia entrusted her with the responsibility for the Environment, Metropolitan Parks and Youth Policies.

In 2016 she was re-elected to the City Council and the Mayor Sala appoints her Deputy Mayor.

For the first half of his mandate he is Councilor for Education, with responsibility for relations with religious communities and youth policies.

It deals with educational policies, municipal educational services, school catering and promotes dialogue between the municipality, universities and research centers.

In the second half of her mandate she was appointed Councilor for Urban Security with responsibility for the Local Police, consolidating an ever wider collaboration between the Administration and the institutions represented at the table of the Prefecture for the Order and Public Safety.

As part of the delegation to Youth Policies, it promotes the activities within the Fabbrica del Vapore as a place to experiment with creative and innovative forms of expression, the InformaGiovani, the Youth Aggregation Centers and the Forum of Youth Policies migeneration-net.

Since 2017 she has been delegated by the Mayor to coordinate the Milan Food Policy, promoting synergies between the departments, the investee companies and all the actors of the city who act to make the Milanese food system more sustainable. The Milan Food Policy has received numerous awards, becoming an excellence and a case study at national and international level.
