Pierfrancesco Maran

Councilor for Urban Planning, Green and Agriculture at Comune di Milano

Pierfrancesco Maran, born in Milan in 1980, has a degree in Political Science and worked as a business consultant. He has been a councilor of Zone 3 for two terms dealing mainly with issues related to parking and parking and the defense and development of the territory.

In 2006 he became a city councilor of Milan. During his mandate he was a member of the Mobility and Environment Commission of the Municipality of Milan.

In the 2011 municipal elections he was the second most voted councilor of the Democratic Party and is the youngest councilor of the Pisapia council with responsibility for Mobility, Environment, Public Water, Energy and Metro. Among the measures implemented during his mandate, the introduction of Area C, the conclusion of the works for the M5 subway and the start of those for the M4 line, the development of bike and car sharing, the doubling of pedestrian areas, the growth of separate waste collection by 50%, the replacement of 100% public LED lighting.

During his mandate he was national delegate of ANCI, the Association of Italian Municipalities, for Mobility and Local Public Services, President of ICS (Car Sharing Initiative).

In the 2016 municipal elections he was the second most voted councilor of the Democratic Party and was appointed councilor in the Giunta Sala with delegations to Urban Planning, Green and Agriculture.
