John Mendell

John Mendell currently serves as Managing Director at Comvest Partners since January 2023, following a brief period of garden leave. Previously, John held the position of Managing Director at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC from June 2015 until the firm's acquisition by BlackRock in August 2018. John's career also includes roles as Principal in the Business Development Group at Ares Management, Director of Investor Relations at Camden Asset Management, and Director of Institutional Marketing at Metropolitan West Asset Management prior to its acquisition by TCW in February 2010. John earned a B.A. in History from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
