Soon Kiat Lau

Soon Kiat Lau, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Research Engineer at Conagra Brands since July 2022. Previously, Soon Kiat Lau worked at Nestlé Purina North America as a Specialist in Product Development focusing on Thermal Processing from July 2020 to July 2022. The academic background includes extensive research experience at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where Soon Kiat Lau held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant from June 2012 to May 2020, investigating methods to pasteurize shell eggs and assisting in various pilot-scale food manufacturing processes. Soon Kiat Lau earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Technology, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in the same field at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, completing studies between 2011 and 2020. Prior work experience includes a position as a Barista at Gloria Jean’s Coffees International in late 2010.
