Jennifer Mawdsley

Senior Research Engineer at Conamix

Jennifer Mawdsley has worked in the field of materials engineering since 2000. Jennifer began their career as a Materials Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, where they were a Postdoctoral Appointee and Principal Investigator of a DOE-sponsored project. In 2013, they became a Research Associate at Northwestern University, where they determined the mechanical properties of polycrystalline diamond materials for abrasive applications. In 2014, they joined Corning Incorporated as a Senior Materials Engineer and was the project leader of a $1.2M effort to develop a failure prediction model of glass forming ceramics. In 2021, they became a Senior Research Engineer at Conamix.

Jennifer Mawdsley received their High School Diploma from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. Jennifer then went on to earn their B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Subsequently, they earned their M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Michigan, followed by their Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from Northwestern University.
