Air Traffic Management Expert/Systems Engineer at Concepts Beyond

Dennis O'Hara has extensive experience in the field of air traffic management and control. Dennis began their career in 1982 at the New York ARTCC, where they held multiple positions until 1995. In 1996, they joined the FAA/DOT Air Traffic Control System Command Center as a Traffic Management Coordinator and Severe Weather Specialist, responsible for monitoring terminal facilities and assessing the impacts of special events and severe weather.

In 1998, Dennis transitioned to the FAA/DOT Washington ARTCC, where they served as an Area Supervisor and Front Line Manager, overseeing the direct supervision of Certified Professional Controllers and ensuring proper shift staffing and position assignments. Dennis then assumed the role of Air Traffic Controller and Supervisor Traffic Management Coordinator, where they managed a team of Traffic Management Coordinators and developed traffic management plans to address volume and complexity issues.

In 2012, Dennis became the Acting Traffic Management Officer for the Washington ARTCC, responsible for overseeing the Traffic Management Unit. Dennis later served as the Traffic Management Officer from 2013 to 2017, during which they had direct supervisory responsibility for 4 Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinators and second-level supervision of Traffic Management Coordinators and Flight Data Specialists.

In 2017, Dennis joined Human Solutions, Inc. as a Senior Air Traffic Control Specialist, and in 2018, they moved to CGH Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Traffic Management Specialist. Currently, they are working at Concepts Beyond as an Air Traffic Management Expert and Systems Engineer.

Throughout their career, Dennis has demonstrated expertise in traffic management, system engineering, and supervisory roles.

Dennis O'Hara attended North Syracuse Central High School from 1974 to 1978, where they received a Regents Diploma in General Studies. Following their high school education, from 1979 to 1981, Dennis pursued higher education at Daniel Webster College. During this period, they obtained an Associate Degree in Aviation Management/ATC Option.
