Edward P Childs

Edward P Childs has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Edward P is currently working as the Director at DataSonification since 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Director of Support and Documentation at Concepts NREC starting from 2006. From 2001 to 2006, Edward was the Founder and Chief Scientist at Accentus LLC, where they developed software to represent data in musical sound format, mainly utilized by financial traders. Edward P'searly career includes a role as the QA and Release Manager at Fluent, Inc from 1987 to 1999.

Edward P Childs earned a High School Diploma from Buckley School in 1963. Edward P then went on to attend Groton School from 1963 to 1967. Edward pursued further education at Harvard University, earning an A.B. degree in Music and Biochemistry from 1967 to 1971. Following this, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1977 to 1980, obtaining both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Edward went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Imperial College London from 1980 to 1984. Lastly, they attended Dartmouth College from 2000 to 2003 and earned a Master of Arts degree in Electro-Acoustic Music Composition.
