Bríd Sheehan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in humanitarian and legal sectors. Currently serving as the Desk Officer for Afghanistan and Lebanon at Concern Worldwide since July 2019, Bríd's previous roles include Programme Coordinator at Irish Rule of Law International and Mine Action Coordinator for the Syria Response at the United Nations Mine Action Service. Bríd has demonstrated expertise in establishing coordination mechanisms, analyzing needs of affected populations, and advocating for support in under-resourced mine action interventions. Academic qualifications include a Barrister-at-Law degree from The Honorable Society of King's Inns, a Master of Laws in International Law from the Irish Centre for Human Rights, and a joint MSc in Development Practice from Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. Bríd's diverse background also includes translation roles and research internships focused on legal and justice issues.
