Christine Van Heek

Christine van Heek has served as a member of the Board of Directors since April 2016. Ms. van Heek has served as an adviser and consultant to several companies in the biopharmaceutical industry. From 1991 to 2003, Ms. van Heek served in various roles at Genzyme, Inc., a biotechnology company, including positions as Corporate Officer and President, Therapeutics Division; General Manager, Renal Division; and Vice President, Global Marketing. In addition, she has held various sales and marketing positions at Genentech, Inc. and Caremark/HHCA. Ms. van Heek received a B.S.N. from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from Lindenwood University in St. Louis. They believe that Ms. van Heek’s industry experience, including her extensive experience in strategic roles of a publicly-traded biotechnology company, makes her a key contributor to the Board.
