Daniel Mertsch

Daniel Mertsch is an experienced educator with a focus on German language instruction and special education. Currently serving as a German Teacher at Concord Academy since July 2023, Daniel also held a similar role at St. Mark's School from August 2018 to August 2023. Previous positions include Director of Skills & Academic Support and Learning Specialist at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School, as well as a Learning Specialist at St. Johnsbury Academy. Daniel began the career in special education at Jakob Muth-Schule and Schule am Nordpark, following an academic path that culminated in a Master's Degree in Special Education and Teaching from TU Dortmund University. Additionally, Daniel has completed the 2. Staatsexamen at Studienseminar Köln and earned an Abitur at Gymnasium Essen-Überruhr.
