John Murphey

John Murphey is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in business strategy and consulting, particularly within the health care sector. Currently serving as the Executive Director at Concord since March 2021, John leads the Business Strategy and Planning organization and supports large client programs. From December 2012 to February 2021, John co-founded and served as the CEO of Upton Hill, overseeing a consulting firm specialized in health care. Earlier career roles include Program Manager at Daugherty Business Solutions, Director of Claims Migration and Principal IT Project Manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, and various management positions at Target. John began their career as a Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems after earning an MBA in Marketing and Information Technology from the University of Michigan and a BS in Economics and English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
