Essye Miller is currently a Board Member at Concordance Academy of Leadership. Prior to this, they held various executive positions at Dell Technologies, Partnership for Public Service, Pallas Advisors, Executive Business Management, LLC, and the United States Department of Defense.
At Dell Technologies, Miller served as the company's Principal Deputy Chief Information Officer. In this role, they were responsible for leading the digital transformation and modernization of the company's 1.3 million active duty personnel and 750,000 civilian employees. Additionally, they advised the Secretary of Defense on hundreds of mission-critical matters involving IT, information assurance, cybersecurity, non-intelligence space systems, satellite programs, the electromagnetic spectrum, and telecommunications.
Miller was also instrumental in the creation and launch of the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC), which was created to meet the goals of the National Defense Strategy. Under their leadership, the JAIC has grown exponentially and become a key player in the defense industry.
Essye Miller has a Master's degree in Strategic Studies from Air University, a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Strategic Studies from Troy State University, and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Business Administration and Management, General from Talladega College. Essye also has an honorary Doctorate in National and International Security Studies from John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and an honorary Doctor of Science (ScD) from Talladega College.
