Brandon Stewart

Brandon Stewart has a diverse work experience in various educational institutions. Brandon worked as the Head of Department, DP Theory of Knowledge, DP Geography, and MYP Humanities Teacher, as well as the EE Coordinator at Concordian International School since July 2018. Brandon also served as a MYP Workshop Leader for the International Baccalaureate starting from October 2020. Prior to that, Brandon was the Extended Essay Coordinator, DP Geography & MYP Humanities Teacher at I-Shou International School from August 2015 to July 2018. Additionally, they worked as a High School Social Studies Teacher at the International Bilingual School at Tainan Science Park from August 2013 to July 2015, and as an ESL Teacher at Xindong Junior High School from November 2012 to June 2013. Brandon also gained teaching experience as a Student Teacher: Social Studies at Parkrose High School from August 2011 to June 2012. Before entering the education field, they worked as a Strategic Researcher at UFCW from January 2009 to September 2010. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Fire Support Team Leader in the United States Marine Corps from February 2004 to June 2009. Brandon also worked as a Robotic Testing Group Leader at MGA Research Co. from June 2007 to November 2008.

Brandon Stewart completed their Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Secondary Social Studies from Portland State University in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2008-2010.

In terms of additional certifications, Brandon Stewart has obtained several qualifications. These include Visible Thinking from Harvard University in June 2020, Google Certified Educator Level 1 from Google in November 2018, MYP Individuals and societies: Delivering the MYP curriculum Cat 2 from the International Baccalaureate in October 2018, TOK for Subject Teachers Category 3 from the International Baccalaureate in August 2017, DP Managing the Extended Essay Category 3 from The International Baccalaureate in October 2016, MYP Creating Authentic Units Category 3 from The International Baccalaureate in August 2016, Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms from the Department for Education and Child Development, South Australia in May 2016, DP Geography Category 1 and 2 from The International Baccalaureate in November 2015, AVID Center certified tutor as an Advancement Via Individual Determination in August 2012, and a Professional Teaching License from the State of Oregon in July 2012.
