Leon Black

Leon Black is a Professor at the University of Leeds since February 2007, specializing in Civil Engineering Materials with a research focus on cement structure, stability, and waste immobilisation. Previously, Leon served as a Professor of Infrastructure Materials at Sheffield Hallam University from March 2004 to February 2007 and was a Research Fellow studying materials properties, including cementitious binders and biodegradable packaging. Earlier, Leon worked as a Nachwuchswissenschaftler at Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe from February 2001 to February 2004, concentrating on the structure and stability of cementitious materials. Leon earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Bristol between 1989 and 1997.
