Dan Fairs

Dan Fairs has a long and varied career in software engineering. Dan began their career in 2012 as the Technical Director and Founder of SecondSync Ltd., which was acquired by Twitter in April 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer at Twitter UK. During this time, they were part of the leadership team managing a team of engineers across backend, iOS, Android, and the Web. Dan also worked closely with an international team of engineers, designers, researchers, and product managers to help define and refine Twitter products. In 2016, they began working as a Consultant for danfairs, and in 2017 they became a Volunteer Mentor for DevelopMe Training. From 2016 to 2018, they were Cofounder and CTO of Poli (Politech Ltd), and from 2018 to 2019 they were Deputy CTO of Adarga Limited. In 2019, they became CTO/Cofounder of Condense Reality, Director of Neon Machines Ltd, and Chair and Non Executive Director of City to Sea.

Dan Fairs attended the University of Bristol from 1996 to 2000 and obtained a MEng in Computer Science.
