Alyssa Garza

Alyssa Garza is a dedicated pharmacy professional currently gaining diverse clinical experience through roles as a Clinical Pharmacy Intern at Duke University Hospital and Cone Health, as well as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Intern at Mountain Area Health Education Center - MAHEC. Responsibilities include supporting clinical pharmacists with medication management, conducting medication reconciliation, counseling patients, and preparing sterile compounds. Alyssa's previous experience includes over six years at Walgreens, progressing from a Customer Service Associate to a Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician, where duties involved vaccine administration and staff training. Alyssa also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and held tutoring positions at the University of Arizona, enhancing academic skills in math for college peers. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Arizona.
