Cameron Elgin

Chief Nursing Officer, Behavioral Health Services at Cone Health

Cameron Elgin, DNP, RN-BC is the chief nursing officer of behavioral health services for Cone Health. Elgin is accountable for nursing operations, nursing practice, quality, safety, productivity, and patient experience. She works with physicians and others across Cone Health to plan, develop and implement patient-focused nursing care.

Elgin’s first position at Cone Health was as director of a hospital rehabilitation unit. She has spent considerable time in nursing professional development and special projects in nursing.

Elgin earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Gardener-Webb University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

Elgin is a graduate of the Cone Health Executive Nurse Leadership Academy. She is a mental health first aid trainer and a former North Carolina Great 100 Nurse.
