Lauren Gill

Vice President at Conejo Valley Unified School District

A Boston native, Lauren is proud to call Newbury Park her home since 2011. Lauren earned degrees in English and American Literature and in Religious Studies from Brown University. Lauren worked in technology, started and run a successful business, and spent the majority of her career in educational publishing. Most recently, Lauren worked on academic and career skills acquisition for college students, helping students transition into college, stay on track while in school, and make a successful start to their careers.

Her service as a trustee arises from a sense of gratitude for her own public school experience in upstate New York and for her children’s superb education here in the CVUSD at Banyan Elementary, Sequoia Middle, and Newbury Park High School. As the child of educators and the parent of a typical learner and an IEP student, Lauren understand that inclusion benefits all. Lauren is honored to work collaboratively with her fellow Board members, district leadership, teachers, staff, students, families, and engaged community members in continuing efforts to honor the promise of each individual student and to make their great district stronger and more equitable.
