Raluca Lazar has a strong background in workforce development and career services. Raluca began their career at the Centre for Skills Development in 2002, where they worked as a Project Assistant and later transitioned to the role of Career Consultant. In 2009, they were promoted to Senior Program Coordinator, taking on responsibilities for employment services. Raluca stayed with the Centre for Skills Development until 2018, when they became a Service Delivery Manager, overseeing employment, skilled trades, ESL, and immigrant services. In 2015, they also took on the additional role of Employment Consultant at Mohawk College, where they worked until 2019. Most recently, they joined Conestoga College in 2019 and has held positions as the Manager of the Career Centre, Manager of Workforce Development & Corporate Training, and is currently serving as the Manager of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. Overall, Raluca has demonstrated a consistent focus on helping individuals with their career development and has gained significant experience in designing and implementing workforce development programs.
Raluca Lazar's education history includes various degrees and certificates from multiple institutions. From 2022 to 2024, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) in Post-Secondary Education at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, Raluca attended Brock University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Education (BEd) with a focus on Adult Education. In 2014 and 2015, they earned a Leadership Certificate in Community Leadership from St. Francis Xavier University. Before that, from 2010 to 2013, Raluca studied Management Studies at McMaster University, earning a Diploma. In 2006 and 2008, they completed a Certificate in Career Consultant at Mohawk College. Lastly, in 2002 and 2003, Raluca gained a Webmaster Certificate in Web Design, also from Mohawk College.
