Alexis Hammack

Alexis Hammack is a skilled educator with extensive experience in STEM and mathematics curriculum development. As the Director of STEM and the Director of Curriculum - Mathematics at Coney Island Prep since August 2011, Alexis has designed a rigorous curriculum aligned with Common Core State Standards, benefiting over 900 students and 30+ teachers across three school campuses. Notably, more than half of the scholars starting in Kindergarten achieve above the 75th percentile in mathematics by the end of 2nd grade on the national normed NWEA assessment. Additionally, Alexis served as a Math Content Adjunct Professor at Relay Graduate School of Education from August 2013 to May 2018. Educational background includes a degree from the University of Rochester (2001-2005) and further studies at Pace University (2005-2007).
