Wendy Landry

Wendy Landry serves as the Vice President of Indigenous Leadership, Strategies, and Partnerships at Confederation College since July 2023. Wendy has been the Mayor of the Municipality of Shuniah since October 2010, also holding the position of President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA) and serving as a member of the Executive Board for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO). With extensive experience in Indigenous community engagement, Wendy worked as a Senior Advisor for Indigenous Initiatives at Enbridge Inc. and previously at Union Gas, focusing on building respectful relationships with First Nations and Métis peoples. Wendy holds a diploma in Law and Security from Confederation College and has a background in education, having taught various subjects related to Aboriginal and Canadian relations at Confederation College from 2002 to 2012. A proud member of the Red Rock Indian Band, Wendy exemplifies a commitment to community engagement and leadership.
