Krista Murphy, CMP has over 15 years of experience in event planning and management. Krista started their career at Hyatt Hotels as a Convention Services Manager before transitioning to a role as a Catering/Sales Manager, focusing on social events. In 2005, they founded their own event planning company, Definitive Events, where they served as the Owner and Event Planner until 2015. Krista then joined ConferenceDirect in 2010 as a Global Account Executive before advancing to the role of Director of Global Accounts in 2017. Krista specializes in site selection, contract negotiations, event planning, and housing and registration management for organizations worldwide.
Krista Murphy, CMP graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with minors in German and Spanish. Prior to attending Purdue, they studied German Language and Literature at Magnus Gottfried Lichtwer Gymnasium in Germany from 1998 to 1999.
