Sharon Williamson

Sharon Williamson, CMP, CDS, CCM, is a seasoned professional in event management with extensive experience in both corporate and educational settings. As a Senior Global Project Manager at ConferenceDirect since September 2007, Sharon has played a pivotal role in leveraging relationships with hotel and vendor partners to optimize costs, increase revenue, minimize risk, and enhance the attendee experience for clients. Previously, as the Director of Conventions and Meetings at the Association of Texas Professional Educators from September 1991 to July 2000, Sharon managed a team responsible for planning and executing over 35 meetings and special events annually, contributing to the association's growth from 52,000 to over 100,000 members. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Michigan Technological University, along with Secondary Teacher Certification in Biology and Chemistry.
