Senior Director, Policy Development at Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS)

Joey Samowitz serves as the Director of Policy Development at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) since March 2017, where responsibilities include crafting strategic plans for the Policy Development team and overseeing the formulation of policy positions in collaboration with state regulators. Previous roles at CSBS encompass Senior Manager and Manager of Policy Development, where Joey managed departmental initiatives, provided legal and regulatory analysis, and engaged with stakeholders to advance public policy goals. Prior to CSBS, Joey gained experience in administrative and operational roles at the Washington Redskins and worked in legislative support for Delegate Anne Kaiser and Congressman John Delaney. Joey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and is currently pursuing further education at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.

The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) is the nationwide organization of banking regulators from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
