Cherin Perelman

Cherin Perelman has a strong background in banking and finance. They started their career in 1991 as a Banking Specialist at The MSR Group and worked there until 1997. In 1998, they joined SunTrust Bank as an Executive VP and played a key role in transforming the organization into a sales-oriented and cost-conscious institution. They stayed with SunTrust Bank until 2001. From 2001 onwards, Perelman worked for a confidential company, where they initially served as the Director of Human Resources, Banking. In September 2008, they were appointed as the President of the troubled institution by the Board of Directors and FDIC. Their primary responsibility as President was to identify an acquirer for the institution.

Cherin Perelman earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from UCLA between 1987 and 1991.
