Rauno Pukonen

Rauno Pukonen has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Rauno most recently served as the Chief Medical Officer at Confido since March 2023. Prior to that, from July 2022 to March 2023, they were the VP/ General Manager Export Markets CEE at Haleon. Before that, they held various roles at GSK Consumer Healthcare, including VP / General Manager Export Markets CEE from January 2020 to July 2022, VP / General Manager Russia from March 2018 to January 2020, General Manager from April 2016 to January 2020, and Country Manager Baltics from June 2015 to January 2020. From February 2014 to May 2015, they served as the Country Manager for Hungary and Adriatics at Novartis OTC, and from April 2009 to February 2014, they were the Country Manager for the Baltic States at Novartis OTC. Prior to that, they held leadership roles at the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Estonia, including Member of the Council from August 2007 to December 2010 and Chairman of the Board from October 2000 to August 2007. Rauno was a Member of the Council at the Estonian Employers' Confederation from September 2007 to March 2010. Rauno began their career at Eli Lilly and Company, where they served as the Managing Director for the Baltic States from February 2005 to March 2009 and as a Country Manager from January 2000 to February 2005.

Rauno Pukonen completed their education in two different fields at the University of Tartu. From 1986 to 1992, they pursued a degree in Medicine and obtained an MD. Later, from 1997 to 2000, they pursued a degree in Business Administration and obtained an MBA.
