Katy Kienitz

Katy Kienitz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in nonprofit management and program development. Currently serving as Deputy Director at Confluence Philanthropy since January 2025, Katy previously held various leadership roles at Project Sunshine from September 2016 to December 2024, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff. Prior to this, Katy worked at New York Cares as a Service Events Officer and Community Programs Manager between June 2012 and September 2016. Additional experience includes a role as a Students Rebuild Fellow at Global Nomads Group and as a Girls' Education and Empowerment Volunteer with the Peace Corps from September 2009 to December 2011. Katy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government and Italian from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008.
