Sarnai is the Member Relations Director at Confluence Philanthropy. Sarnai is passionate about social equity, climate and economic justice and has worked over a decade as an experienced project implementer both in non-profit and private sector pursuing these passions.
Most recently, Sarnai was a Program Associate at the Open Society Foundations (OSF), the second largest private philanthropy in the United States, promoting economic justice through access to essential medicines including initiatives to support local diagnostics, vaccines, and oxygen production in low income settings. Previously, Sarnai was the Senior Project Officer and Corporate Secretary at Clean Energy Asia, a joint venture between SoftBank and Mongolian Newcom Group as part of the Asia Super Grid renewable energy initiative. She was the core member of the development team on the Tsetsii Wind Farm in Gobi Desert, Mongolia and played an integral part in project financial closing of the debt facility with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Prior to that, Sarnai started her career at Zorig Foundation (ZF), one of the largest NGOs in Mongolia. ZF focuses on strengthening human rights, political freedoms, and social justice, while improving transparency and accountability of the state and government. As Programs Director, Sarnai managed the education portfolio.
Sarnai holds a B.S in Human Development from Cornell University, specializing in Personality and Social Development.
