Rushikesh Butley

Rushikesh Butley is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Confluent since June 2023, Rushikesh previously contributed as a Mentee at The Linux Foundation, focusing on Kubernetes operator development for multi-zonal clusters in 2023. Rushikesh's earlier roles include internship at Confluent, where various tools and frameworks were implemented in Go Lang, and a Graduate Research Assistant position at Virginia Tech, centered on process migration for RISC-V architecture. Additionally, Rushikesh worked as a Software Engineer at Egnyte, improving media support and workload management, and progressed through several positions to become a Senior DevOps Engineer at Zycus, receiving recognition as an All Rounder Employee. Rushikesh holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
