Niloy Mukherjee is currently the Co-Founder & Chief Architect at Confluera. Prior to this, they were with Forbes Technology Council, Confluera, and LinkedIn.

At LinkedIn, Niloy worked as an Espresso Barista in the Distributed Data Systems department. Niloy was responsible for working on Espresso, LinkedIn's own multi-petabyte distributed geo-replicated NoSQL document-oriented data store. Niloy was also responsible for overseeing the native index processing in Espresso using JSON indexes to achieve 10x-100x performance improvements in index queries, reducing storage and replication footprint of native indexes. In addition, they proposed and implemented a distributed backup, reorganization, and recovery service to ensure minimal impact of partition backups, replica restore, and replica rebalancing on concurrent user traffic. Lastly, they also mentored engineers to propose and implement data compression and encryption at rest for LinkedIn Messaging.

Prior to LinkedIn, Niloy was with Interview Kickstart.

Niloy Mukherjee's educational career includes a MS in Media Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B Tech (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
