Steven Xu

Steven Xu has extensive work experience in the field of data and technology. Steven is currently serving as the Principal Data and BI Architect at Conformis since October 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at DraftKings Inc. in 2019.

From 2018 to 2019, Steven held the role of Senior Director of IT at MDLand. In this position, they managed and prioritized the enterprise technology portfolio, led a team of 35 members, and enhanced internal processes and procedures related to various aspects of IT.

Before MDLand, from 2015 to 2018, Steven worked as a Technical Director at Infogroup. Here, they acted as the owner and liaison of the client solution and provided consulting services on complex data marketing solutions.

From 2013 to 2015, Steven served as a Technical Manager at Epsilon, where they were responsible for creating new ETL platforms, architecture, and automation systems. Steven also served as a technical lead for implementing new client solutions.

Steven's career began in 2006 at Merkle Inc., where they worked as a Technical Leader until 2013. In this role, they were involved in creating new ETL platforms and architecture, customized loyalty solutions, and published internal and external documentations.

Prior to Merkle Inc., from 2005 to 2006, Steven worked as a Database Developer at Epsilon. Here, they designed data models and developed processes and applications to support client-based projects.

At the start of their career in 2003, Steven worked as a Scientific Developer at Sanofi. Steven designed and maintained an internal system for algorithmic data analysis and developed customized functions for Rosetta Resolver.

Steven Xu received their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Peking University from 1993 to 1997. Steven then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from Brandeis University, completing it from 1997 to 2003.
