Laisa Garcia

Laisa Garcia is a dedicated education professional with a strong background in teaching assistance and administrative support, currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at Congregation Rodeph Sholom since August 2022. In this role, Laisa effectively assists in the preparation and implementation of class schedules, while also leading reading sessions and project workshops for students. Additional experience includes serving as a Religious Education and Youth Administrative Assistant, overseeing teacher supervision and managing educational materials, as well as roles in the arts sector as a Literary Intern at IATI Theater and Events Coordinator for the Latinx Artists Collective. Laisa has also contributed as a Resident Advisor at New York University, fostering community engagement, and mentored high school students in the Latinxellence RGV Peer Mentorship Program. Laisa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from New York University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from South Texas College.
