Alan Schubert

Alan Schubert has over two decades of experience in education, currently serving as the Lead Teacher of Blended Learning at Guilford County Schools since August 2005. Schubert teaches 8th Grade North Carolina History and was recognized as the School Teacher of the Year in 2017. Responsibilities include advising the Superintendent as a Regional Middle School Advisor, managing a Google Apps for Education domain, and facilitating professional development sessions. Notable contributions include developing the county curriculum for new social studies standards and participating in the school’s technology plan. Prior teaching experience includes US and World History at Gaston County Schools from 2001 to 2004. Schubert holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary History Education from Illinois State University, earned in 2000.
