Peter Yao

Peter Yao has resided in Claremont for over 60 years. He worked for the Hughes Aircraft Company / Raytheon Systems Company for 35 years and retired as the Director of Research and Development. Peter graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and has earned masters' degrees in electrical engineering, business administration, and management science. He served two terms on the Claremont City Council including two years as Mayor and is currently serving as a member of the California Citizens' Redistricting Commission, having drawn 177 political district maps for State Assembly, State Senate, and US Congress.
