Elizabeth Uriyo serves as the Chief of Staff and Director for the Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellowship at the Congressional Hunger Center since April 2023. With extensive experience in consulting on climate change, food security, and livelihoods at TWGA since January 2018, Elizabeth previously held senior leadership roles at Compassion International from 2017 to 2021. At Cargill, Elizabeth spent six years in various positions related to research and development, culminating in the role of Vice President at Ardent Mills LLC. Elizabeth also managed Uriyo Consulting from 1997 to 2010 and gained experience in research and development at Kellogg Company in the early 2000s. Elizabeth's educational credentials include an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a PhD in Grain Science and Industry, and a Master of Science in Grain Science and Industry, both from Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Food for Business & Industry with a minor in Chemistry from Marymount College, Tarrytown NY.
