Selva Pereda is a Principal Researcher at CONICET, where they lead the Biorefinery and Non Conventional Fuels Division within the Process Thermodynamics Group. Their research focuses on the development of efficient and sustainable technologies for converting biomass into industrially relevant compounds, emphasizing biorefinery design, phase equilibrium engineering, and pressure-intensified technologies. Selva has previously served as a Guest Researcher at TU Delft and has progressively advanced through academic ranks at Universidad Nacional del Sur, where they currently hold the position of Associate Professor. Selva earned a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional del Sur, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in the same field, and has also studied Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University.
