Clarence Hines has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Clarence began their career in 1995 as a Musician in the US Army, where they served until 1999. Clarence then pursued further education and worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Rochester - Eastman School of Music from 2002 to 2007. In 2007, they joined the University of North Florida as an Associate Professor of Jazz Studies, and later took on the role of Interim Director - School of Music from 2019 to 2020. Currently, they serve as the Director - School of Music at the University of North Florida. Additionally, since 2009, they have been working as an Artist/Clinician for Conn-Selmer, Inc.

Clarence Hines has a diverse educational background.
