Todd Brunel

Endorsing Artist And Clinician at Conn-Selmer, Inc.

Todd Brunel has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Todd currently serves as the Director of Music at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor of Clarinet at Middlesex Community College starting in 2020. In 2014, Brunel became an Endorsing Artist and Clinician at Conn-Selmer, Inc., where they conducted master classes and workshops. Todd also received a grant in 2020 from the Arlington Cultural Council for their group Opal Ensemble, where they performed a free concert to introduce the public to modern classical music. Brunel has served as the Artistic Director of The Vortex Series for New and Improvised Music since 2007. Additionally, they have worked as an educator at Powers Music School since 2000, teaching private clarinet and saxophone lessons and jazz improvisation. Todd has also been a clarinetist and soprano sax player for the band Musaner since 2007, performing live and recording albums. Brunel's other roles include being a music teacher at Boston Public Schools from 2020 to 2021 and a Training Merchandiser for Yamaha Corporation of America from 2015 to 2019. Todd was also the producer and woodwinds player for the Circadian Rhythm Kings, a funk jazz project, from 2007 to 2018.

Todd Brunel earned their Bachelor's degree in Music from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Music at Brooklyn College from 1994 to 1997.
