Merv Pond

Merv Pond has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Merv started their career in 1992 at Devon, where they worked as a Production Foreman, Production Superintendent, and Maintenance staff until 2003. Merv then joined Canetic Resources Inc. as a Production Superintendent and worked there until 2008. From 2008 to 2013, Merv Pond worked as a Facility and Construction Manager at PennWest Exploration. In 2013, they joined Connacher Oil and Gas Ltd as the Director of Operations and HSER. Currently, they are working at Cona Resources Ltd. in the role of Enhanced Recovery and Conventional.

Merv Pond completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Royal Roads University from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 2010 to 2011, where they pursued a degree in Project Management without specifying if they completed it. Additionally, they pursued Engineering Technology and Project Management at Cabot Institute/SAIT from 1976 to 1978. Merv Pond also holds certifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) obtained in May 2013, and a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma, although the institution and specific time of obtaining the latter are not provided.
