Jerrod Liveoak has a diverse work experience in the field of editorial and content management. Jerrod started their career as an intern at Indiana Review in 1999 before working as an Editorial Assistant at Pride Magazine in 2001. In 2003, they joined Health & Law Resource, Inc. as an Editorial Assistant. In 2004, they worked as a Copyeditor/Project Manager on a freelance basis for the Handbook of Health Social Work. From 2005 to 2011, Jerrod worked at Association Management Center, initially as an Associate Editor and later as a Managing Editor. Jerrod then held the position of Senior Managing Editor from 2011 to 2017, before becoming the Senior Manager of Editorial & Content in June 2017. Jerrod Liveoak received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature and Composition from Indiana University Bloomington, which they completed from 1997 to 2000. Before that, they pursued Biological Sciences at Purdue University from 1996 to 1997, although no degree was obtained during that time.
Taking a break from formal education, Jerrod later returned to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2021, they completed a Graduate Certificate program in Instructional Design. Subsequently, from 2022 to 2023, they pursued a Master of Education (EdM) degree in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership, with a focus on Learning Design and Leadership.
In addition to their academic studies, Jerrod Liveoak obtained certifications in Jira Fundamentals and Jira Service Management Fundamentals, which were completed in May 2023 at the Association Management Center.
