Shawn Boynes

Shawn Boynes, FASAE, CAE, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the American Counseling Association since July 2022 and co-hosts Texts To Table since July 2020. Previously, Shawn held the position of Executive Director at the American Association for Anatomy from January 2013 to July 2022, where significant accomplishments included enhancing member engagement, developing grant programs, leading a rebranding effort, and improving organizational communications. Other roles include Senior Director of Education at the Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology from 2006 to 2012, and Director of Programs at the Minority Corporate Counsel Association from 2001 to 2006. Shawn's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Howard University.
