Lesia Day

Lesia Day has a robust background in communications and marketing, currently serving as the Editor & Communications Specialist at the Connecticut Education Association since October 2016. With over 43,000 members, the CEA plays a crucial role in advocating for teachers and public education. Prior to this role, Lesia worked at CBIA from August 2007 to August 2016 as a Communications/Marketing Editor, where responsibilities included setting brand strategies and managing media coverage for numerous conferences. Additional experience includes a position as a Content Developer at JobTarget, where Lesia published web content on workplace topics, and as the Director of Publications at The Humane Society of the United States, overseeing significant educational publications. Lesia holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and additional educational credentials from the University of Saint Joseph.
