Luanelly Iglesias

Luanelly Iglesias is an experienced educator and community leader currently serving as an ESL and Bilingual teacher and EMAC Chair within Danbury Public Schools, alongside holding the position of Chairperson at Madre Latina Inc. Since 2011, Luanelly has led Madre Latina, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Hispanic mothers through education and community engagement. Additionally, involvement with the Connecticut Education Association as a State and National Delegate allows for participation in shaping association policies. Previous experience includes serving as Ethnic Minority Affairs Commission Chair and as a Social Worker for the CT Department of Children and Families. Educational achievements encompass multiple degrees, including a Master's degree in Education and various certifications in Bilingual and Bicultural Education and Educational Leadership.
