Melissa Scarbrough

Melissa Scarbrough is an experienced educator currently serving as the Vice President of the Ellington Education Association and a French and Arabic teacher at Ellington High School since April 2016. With a strong background in education, Melissa has held various roles, including Building Representative and outreach initiatives within the Ellington Education Association, and has experience working with homeless identified students at Windham Public Schools. Prior positions include a barista at Dunkin' Donuts, a student teacher at Windsor High School, and an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Connecticut. Melissa holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and dual bachelor's degrees in Education and French. Training in Advanced Placement French is also part of Melissa's professional development.
